PEB accessories are the non-structural parts that complete a pre-engineered steel building, such as fasteners, anchor bolts, insulation, ventilators, flashings, gutters, skylights and louvers. They seal, fix, ventilate and drain the building envelope around the main steel frame.
A typical PEB shed needs anchor bolts for the foundation, structural fasteners for the frame, self-drilling screws for roof and wall sheets, insulation, ridge and corner flashings, gutters and downpipes, and ventilation. Skylights and louvers are added where daylight or airflow is required.
Roof and wall sheets are normally fixed with self-drilling screws that have an EPDM sealing washer. The length must pass through the sheet and bite into the purlin, and the coating should suit the exposure. Share the sheet profile, purlin thickness and finish to get the right screw.
Glass wool blanket is commonly laid under metal roof sheets and behind wall cladding to reduce heat gain. Choose thickness, density and facing (plain or foil) from your thermal target, condensation risk and any fire requirements, and ask for the product data sheet.
